Science within Your Sights

Science within Your Sights

The one thing that possibly separates museums from any other form of edutainment is the interaction element; after all, you’re more likely to learn something interesting if you were to experience it with your five senses – sight, touch, sound, taste, and smell – rather than just reading and memorizing information from a textbook or an article. This is especially true for science, where you should be able to see how the whole cosmos works for yourself. Dallas has many museums of different subjects to explore, and here at Victory Place high-rise apartment homes in Dallas Texas, you can be at the heart of it all. The closest museum to our high rise luxury complex, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, is only a half mile away – you could walk there in ten minutes and thus save on parking expenses. Featuring 11 unique permanent exhibit halls, this expansive venue showcases all kinds of sciences, ranging from geology, biology, the human anatomy, paleontology, physics, chemistry, engineering, all the way to the study of the universe. There are even activities for younger children, such as the Moody Family Children’s Museum or the Lamar Hunt Sports Hall, and all the attractions feature interactive and immerse exhibits to capture the minds of all ages. Special exhibitions cycle every season, such as the current Maya: Hidden Worlds Discovered exhibit, and short 3-D films further expand your family’s mind on many topics about the world and beyond. With so much to see, it’s hard to learn the same lessons twice. Tickets are available online and at the door individually or through grouped packages; general admission is $20 for adults, $13 for kids 2-17, $14 for seniors 65 and older, and entirely free for members, though group and online discounts can be used. Expand what you know of the world from just a few steps away from home. Visit Victory Place to tour our luxury complex and apartments, and then visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science down the street to start a great learning adventure.
